How many times have you watched a slasher horror flick, and you wondered what it would be like to take the role of the slasher? In Dead By Daylight, you can do just that. You can also take control of one of the survivors out to escape his rampage if you so choose.

Dead by daylight is an adversarial multiplayer game (think Evolve, but with better execution and a community behind it) in which 1 player takes control of a horror movie-inspired killer while 4 others play as the survivors out to escape his rampage. Both the killers and the survivors have their own abilities. You can upgrade the killers with points you earn during the game. As the surviror, your goal is to activate the generators scattered around the arena then get to safety when the gate opens. As the killer, you have to catch the survivors, and sacrifice them to the entity that controls the arena. To sacrifice them, you have to injure them enough to mortally wound them, then carry them to a hook. Gruesome stuff. Do this twice to a survivor, and they get sacrificed to the entity.

The killers that are available by default are varied and gruesome enough. However, you can also purchase dlc for other killers, including some famout guest characters. If the game’s killers weren’t enough for you, you can also pay to use Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers (along with Laurie Strode as a survivor), Leatherface, and even Amada from Saw. Recent dlc added a creature from Stranger Things, Ghostface from Scream, and even Ash Williams as a survivor. Of course if there is one fault with the game is that the dlc can be pricey if you buy it at once. If there is a game that could have used a season pass, this is it. Also, tehre is no single player move, but the game’s $20 asking price regardless of if you buy the DLC, is a decent price considering the amount of content you get out the box.

The developers are constantly supporting and updating the game, and upgrading it with new improvements. If you’re a survival horror fan, you’ll want to check this game out.
